This particular type of Rakhi utilizes the Chinese art or practice of positioning objects in a favourable direction while making a Rakhi. The concept of Feng Shui is now no longer new to Indians, this is probably the reason for its increasing popularity as a Rakhi style on Rakshabandhan. Some Feng Shui Charm Rakhis even come embellished with articles like small wind chimes that are considered to be a harbinger of good luck (according to the Chinese philosophy of Feng Shui).
